Meeting Crafts and Folk traditions in Kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with the issues of the practical use ofproject teaching in preschool education. In accordance with the objectives of the thesis the theoretical part of the thesis describes the current policy of the Czech Republic in the field of preschool education as well as the directions of its development defined within the 'Strategy of educational policy of the Czech Republic until 2030+' document. It includes the description of creating of necessary curricular documents and project teaching, especially its history, basic principles and methods. Within the practical part of the work an educational program focused on the issue of traditional folk activities and crafts was created and implemented. The program and especially its individual projects are described in detail there accompanied with a comprehensive evaluation of success of their implementation in teaching.
Familiarization of preschool children with craft activities in framework of cooperation between school and parents.

ABSTRCT EN The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the documentation of the craft activities introduction to children in preschool education. The main researched area is the quality of cooperation between parents and teachers and risk perception when introducing preschool children to craft activities in kindergartens of the Říčany region. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part deals with scientific findings and the concept of craft activities, craft activities as such, and their inclusion in preschool education. The historical and geographical context of craft activities is presented here as well as the key concepts and main elements of their potential integration into preschool education. Attention is paid to the influence of craft activities on the child's development and on the relationships between the participants in the educational process of the preschool child. It also explains the relationship between the kindergarten and the parents, the importance of the parent's presence in connection with this direction and the way of their involvement in the running of the educational institution. Jitka Sýkorová Title: The Use of Craft and Creative Arts in Occupational Therapy Abstract: The bachelor thesis addresses the topic of Arts and Crafts in occupational therapy. Arts and Craft are linked with the profession from its beginnings. Craft activities were one of the first meaningful occupations the occupational therapists ever used in their work. These activities were also the first occupations expertly analyzed by occupational therapists. As the society evolved, the role of arts and crafts in occupational therapy changed. Today, the use of Arts and Crafts in therapy is a controversial topic that divides occupational therapists. Some see Arts and Crafts only as a historical part of the profession, outdated and anachronistic, and refuse to use them in their work. Others feel their potential and try to find ways of purposefully including them in their patients' rehabilitation plans. The bachelor thesis presents a view of Arts and Crafts as a therapeutic tool. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to document the issue of introducing craft activities to children in preschool education from the perspective of cooperation between parents and kindergarten teachers in Říčany. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part discuss the state of the art. It is dedicated to the craft activities as such and their inclusion in the preschool education. The historical and geographical context is presented, the key concepts and the main elements of potential integration of craft activities into the preschool education are described. Special attention is paid to the influence of craft activities on the child's development and to the relationship between the participants in the educational process of a preschool child. It also clarifies the relationship between the kindergarten and parents, the position of the parent in connection with this pedagogical specialization and the way he or she is involved in the operation of the institution.
